Amir was the Gold Guardian Award recipient of the Anatolian Shepherd Club of America for the year 2006. This award is presented to the Anatolian Shepherd Dog that has defeated more Anatolian Shepherd Dogs than any other dog in AKC competition during the calendar year.  When not at a dog show, Amir lived with and protected our Alpacas.  He was especially kind to the crias, and they were always hanging  around him.
